So, I often see posts about being “ the change you want to see in the world.” While it seems very cliche or for dreamers, I think it is so true.
I think it all starts with small things. Change starts with small acts.
When I was little, I often thought of how I wanted to save the world. Maybe it was because watched to many super hero movies, or a need for significance, however regardless of the why, I wanted to help the wold be a better place.
Yes, I wanted to join green peace, to study environmental law.... and the list goes on. The idea was that I wanted to do something big that created massive change.
Turns out that now I think more local, have come to realization that small is big. How?
I mean small acts. I might not be able to single handed end plastic straw consumption in the United States but if I stop 🛑 using straws every day and in every place that I go, it will add up.
I see more and more everyday, regular people that are either small business owners or consumers decide to make a change and that change proceduces a snow ball effect. The example of the straws, I now see more restaurants using paper or no straws. And how did it start? By someone, making a different choice and deciding that they will not use plastic straws at that restaurant.
Same goes for being nice and doing something kind. It is easy and it is available to us at anytime. We can choose to be nice, we can choose to help someone, we can choose to smile.
At any point YOU can make a difference in someone’s life. Now you can show some appreciation. You can smile at a stranger. Hold a door for someone. Pick up trash from the floor.
The more kindness we practice, the more it will spread around our life and the world.
I know that We can change the world by small acts everyday.❤️ 🌎❤️
So, what are you going to do today to bring a smile to someone’s face?
