In theory we understand that each person is different and thinks different from us, however in practice we often treat others as if they thought exactly like we do. We expect others to act like we would, to do things as we would and even to feel as we do. Often times we don’t realize that we are subjecting others to our standards because we think is “common sense” or “normal” and thus we expect others to do or act as we would. What is normal to you is different to what is normal to me. Thus instead of expecting you to act like me, if I am going to expect anything, it would be that you don’t act like me (as if you were a fish or a tree 🌲 ) and that your normal is that, YOURS. That would bring us a step closer in accepting others as they are ❤️. P.S. why see you as if you were 🌲 or 🐠? Because I would not expect a fish or a tree to act like me and thus I can put judgments aside and actually see YOU.
